Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS), a study circle based on Faculty of Law, Chittagong University, is going to host the Second Season of it’s signature program and country’s only law olympiad, the SCLS Law Olympiad on 28-29 September in Chittagong. With the view to promote human rights and humanity, theme for this grand competition is “Voice against human rights violation, steps toward humanity”
The second season of the Law Olympiad will host 32 teams from different universities (64 participants). The activities are spread over five sessions, namely argumentative skill round, critical eye round, rebellious spirit round, action plan round and symposium round. Participants will compete showing presentation, real life problem solving, critical ability, policy-making competence in these rounds.
The competition will be felicitated by different legal personnel of the country. Academics, jurists, judges, human rights activists, advocates, NGO officials etc. from various institutions will be acting as adjudicators at the competition.
Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS) is a student formed study circle of students of the Faculty of Law, University of Chittagong. It has successfully organized various national events including Professor Dr. Khabir Uddin Memorial Moot Court Competition on International Law, Law Olympiad, SCLS Students' Tribunal against the Genocide on Rohingyas, workshops, seminars, field research etc. SCLS aims to contribute to the facets of the Legal study of Bangladesh.
