Department of Law, Canadian University of Bangladesh in association with the FutureLaw Initiative is going to host a Certificate Course on Mooting, Legal Research and Advocacy for the law students and interested young mooters of Bangladesh. This will be a ground-breaking initiative, aiming towards personal development and capacity building of future law professionals of the country.

Overview

After successfully completing the course, the participants will know:

  • How to ace moot court competitions
  • How to conduct cutting-edge legal research
  • How to form arguments: opening up the analytical mind
  • How to find, interpret and use various types of legal principles/ concepts
  • How to present before judges: the arts of argument
  • How to draft the winning memorial
  • How to optimize legal research, studies and career options with mooting

Expectations and Commitments

Students are expected to spend approximately 5 hours per week (in 2 weekly classes) attending to the lectures and participate in different exercises throughout the program.
