Research is very fundamental to understand any particular issue from a deeper perspective. And legal research methodology is a very sophisticated scientific and systematic way to solve any legal question by using the tools and techniques including the rules of interpretation of legal problems and issues. This intensive online course will offer an overview of the legal research methodology.

Given the demands of legal methodology courses in the legal community of Bangladesh, the South Asian Institute of Social Transformation (SAIST) is very pleased to offer a month-long course on legal research methodology to be taught by a very prominent resource person from the world’s top academic institute.

Session Structure

8 sessions (each session will last 1 hour, 2 sessions per day (Time – 6:45PM – 7:45PM, 8:00PM-9:00PM Bangladesh Time)

Course Fee – 1000 Taka for the students (with an option for 50% fees waiver) and tk1500 for the professionals

Dr. Md. Ershadul Karim, Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia (UM). He is the Director of the Centre for Law and Ethics in Science and Technology, and a Research Fellow at the University of Malaya Malaysian Centre of Regulatory Studies, UM. He completed his LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Ph.D. in Nanotechnology Law and Policy from Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. He has authored four books, co-authored several books, and published more than fifty peer-reviewed academic papers, and contributed chapters in books. He also teaches Legal Research Methodology and supervises Ph.D. students at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia.
