BRAC is seeking applications from suitable candidates for the position of Legal and Compliance Lawyer at BRAC field offices.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
 – Provide legal assistance to different programmes, departments and enterprises of BRAC
 – Draft and review of legal documents (i.e. GD, FIR, Complaint, Written Statement, Agreement, Contract, MoU) and provide legal opinion on criminal and civil matters
– Keeping track of legal issues and cases
– Maintain legal database (CaseHub) and complete files of all legal issues and cases
– Look up on compliance matter of BRAC Enterprises in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
– Maintain liaison with Panel Lawyers and monitor court activities related to BRAC
– Maintain liaison with Court officials, Anti Corruption Commission, Law enforcing agencies and other Govt. officials to provide appropriate legal services
– Maintain and archive necessary Legal documents, files and registers
– Arrange, attend and facilitate various types of meeting, training and department programmes
– Provide reports to keep the management informed as directed and requested
 – Any other task assigned by the authority

Educational Requirements:

LL.B and LL.M from any recognized UGC approved university with minimum all 2nd division/ Class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA. No third division/ Class or CGPA below 2.00 is acceptable.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 01 year practical court experience in civil and criminal matters.

Additional Job Requirements:

– Experience in working with any company or organization will add extra preference.
– Have knowledge on relevant law, policy, rules, procedures and judicial system of Bangladesh
– Sound knowledge on MS Office
– Good Communication skills

Age Range: Maximum 35 years


Salary Range: Negotiable
